On December 1, 2017 South Bay Archery Lessons officially opened its doors to the public for business at 1300 Kingsdale Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90278.
Starting in 2018, in commemoration of each year of this location being open we celebrate by hosting a tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society* that is be held over a two days (one weekend only: Saturday & Sunday) where the registration for competing is open to archers all ages over 8 who have their own equipment.
450 Tournament Round at 18 Meters on 40 cm Targets for ALL Age Categories & Bow Divisions
4 archers per target bale A/B/C/D (A Line and B Line rotations)
*$45 non-refundable donation prior to tournament
Registration is limited to the first 22 applications per age classification bracket or session registered
We do not require masks for those watching, but we also do highly suggest bringing a mask to wear for your safety should the room becomes too crowded.

As this is an official USA Archery (USAA) Sanctioned Event listed on the USAA Event section, it will require that all registering archers provide their USAA Member # or other association # (NFAA / ASA) during registration for validation by event host.

Coaches and parents are welcome to watch their archers from the upstairs “Spectator Area” during the tournament, but please note that there is limited seating availability, so it is first come first serve.
Spectators may not loiter or watch from the hallway or the main range area which is strictly dedicated only to actively participating archers or approved range volunteers and judges. This area must remain clear at all times, except for those actively utilizing the restroom on site.

Why the Beach Cities Relay For Life is so important?
The American Cancer Society’s mission includes research, education, advocacy and cancer-care Services as well as access to care creating a culture of respect, equality and inclusiveness.
- Early Prevention – Cancer Screens, Tobacco Control to end the mortality of lung cancer.
- Access – Providing lodging and rides to treatment; addressing the high cost of coverage.

What does the funds raised go to? In 2022 the funds raised in the West Region funded the following.
- $230,000 direct investment grants via 12 local area Strategic Health Systems partners in areas such as Transportation, Lodging, Early Detection for all major cancers, Early Detection with special focus (breast, colon, lung, cervical), HPV vaccination infrastructure, and more.
- More than $8 million in local area Research Grants, including $3.2 million to Drew Medical University for Diversity in Research funding
- Transportation services to hundreds of residents via our new Paratransit partnership
