Range Policy: COVID-19 Safety Requirements & Updates

All range policy adjustments will be continue to be based on the updates that become available from the following sources and will be at the discretion of the range:
CDC K-12 schools guidance
California Department of Public Health
County of Los Angeles: Best Practices to Prevent COVID-19: Exercising Indoors
COVID19.CA.GOV: Masks

Equipment is shared between customers from lesson to lesson.
Even though we sanitize our equipment, please note that bowstring is held close to each archers mouth when shooting.
This range policy is re-evaluated monthly with our majority recurring student / parent / coach population to ensure comfort and health when using range equipment.

Effective: Monday, May 15, 2022

Last Updated: Wednesday, May 04, 2022

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2022 (not before) this location will begin to allow students, parents/guardians and attendees of privately scheduled sessions and groups to enter the range safely without a mask, regardless of vaccination status

Until further notice, the following will also take place, at the discretion of the range
(for the continued health safety of immune compromised students and coaches/instructors at the range):

For any/all person(s) specifically planning to utilize any in-house range equipment (bow/arrows/etc) during either a private lesson (1-1 or group of 2 or more), Open Shooting or one of our specialty groups, will be required to still adhere to one of the following options.  This is due to the mouth coming into direct contact with the bowstring and arrow (shared equipment) when in the correct archery form.

  • Option 1: showing full vaccination status card or proof of a negative COVID test within the last 7 days prior to using range equipment
  • Option 2: for recurring students or range participants, a special submission form will be available to you on or after Saturday, March 12, 2022.  This form will allow you to submit your full vaccination card to your in-house range profile to save you time from having to show your card every time you come in for a session. This form will not be available on the range website.
  • All range attendees must remain within the range areas specifically designated for them to avoid mingling with sessions that are unrelated to them, both for health safety and courtesy of their private event
  • If you are feeling unwell prior to a lesson, please contact the range to reschedule, to avoid passing on any contagion (flu, cold or other)

Last Updated: Monday, June 14, 2021

Beginning on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, this location will still require masks for any and all group activities held in this location, in accordance with the California Department of Public Health for Indoor and Youth Settings.   This is due to our range hosting different competitive youth groups, youth summer camps and other special group activities where many participants are in the “unvaccinated” group due to being under the age of 12 and therefore currently ineligible for vaccines.

Therefore, masks MUST always cover the nose and mouth completely at all times while in the range and scarves, bandanas or other open bottom face coverings will not be permitted as approved face coverings..  Temperature checks will also be mandatory by a range personnel or coach prior to being allowed to enter the range, until further notice.

EVEN IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR VACCINE

There is a possibility of allowing privately scheduled lesson attendees to remove face coverings with valid proof of vaccination (CDC vaccination card), MIGHT be a possibility by early to mid-August 2021.

Effective: Tuesday, March 16, 2021
